The Stop the Violence Community Foundation

Hello,

I am pleased to announce that K. S. Productions and the Stop the Violence Community Foundation will be holding the third annual Sop the Violence Gospel Fest and Job Fair in August 2006. The purpose of this event is to reach out to anyone who is interested in stopping the violence here in Syracuse and surrounding communities. This includes you, our youth, people in the streets, church goers, and our local government -- everyone.

The event will have several music groups, local and out of state, as well as different speakers. Local businesses will have booths offering information on career opportunities. All ages are welcome.

Leading up to this grand occasion, we will have two special events.

Our Annual Fund Raiser

This will be held at the Wal-Mart Department Store on Basile Rowe (Bridge Street) in East Syracuse, on Saturday, April 29th beginning at 2:00 p.m. Our special guest speaker will be the Rev. Canon Petero Sabune, Pastor and Chaplain at Sing Sing Correctional Facility, along with local entertainment.

Our Annual Showcase

This will be held on Saturday, June 10th at Onondaga Community College beginning at 2:00 p.m. Our special guest speaker will be the Rev. Pearl M. Snell, Chaplain at Butler Correctional Facility in Red Creek, NY, and will include local entertainment. You are invited to bring your children to showcase their talents in the areas of musical intruments, vocals, dance, and poetry. Come out and support our children as they compete for tuition assistance through Onondaga Community College for their College for Kids Summer Program. Winners of this event will also perform at the Gospel Fest and Job Fair in August.

As you know, these events cannot take place without financial help and assistance. We need your support. The expenses accrued include compensation for the music groups and speakers, the building, stage, lighting and sound. Proceeds will be given to a local charitable organization and our scholarship fund.

We need your donations to help with this event. However, not only are we seeking donations, but your attendance will help make these events a success.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Also, thank you in advance for your generous donations and support for what promises to be a phenomenal event.
